Our second day in Napa, we started with Seghesio Family Vineyards. They have been making wine for a over a hundred years and their vineyards have the oldest zinfandel vines in Napa. It is a family run place and their tasting room has a relaxed, welcoming vibe. They let the wines speak for themselves.
Seghesio makes great wines and their specialty is zinfandel. The zinfandel was good, but my favorite wine was the Barbera. It has juicy berry fruits and a nice acidity. I also really enjoyed the Arneis, it tasted like apple, melon, and nutmeg.
One of my favorite things about Seghesio is they make a wine for everyone. I was with a group of 7 and each person was able to find a wine they enjoyed. If you are in Healdsburg, make sure to stop into Seghesio's tasting room for some great pours.
