Is it date night yet?
Today I'm introducing a new feature for the blog called, DIY Date Night! Every other week, I'll post a creative, personal date for you to DIY with your significant other. This week, I'm featuring a date I call 20 Questions!
So, what is the 20 Questions Date? It's an opportunity for you to take some time serious quality time with your partner. Pour some wine, cook dinner together, and answer 20 questions about your relationship and yourselves. You will be amazed what you learn and consider about your partner when you start asking each other more questions.
So. Time to DIY.
Step 1: Print these 20 questions:
Step 2: The Dinner. I recommend choosing something that takes time to prepare so you can leisurely answer questions while you cook. But also something simple.
We served it with a salad of mixed spring greens and a Simple Vinaigrette.
4 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 TBSP Balsamic Vinegar
1 TBSP Dijon Mustard
1 clove Garlic, minced
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
Combine everything in a bowl and whisk. :)
We made it without the mustard because my date hates the yellow stuff. He actually declared he's a member of P.A.M. (People Against Mustard). FYI - It's still good without the mustard, in case you or your date are also members of P.A.M.
We paired our meal with this juicy 2010 Alto Moncayo Veraton Garnacha $29.99 (wine review posts on the blog later this month):
Step 3: Set the table, light some candles, and wear something dapper.
Take your time answering the questions, as they deserve a bit of reflection. Respond from your heart and this will be a very special evening.
I hope you enjoy your first DIY Date Night. A new DIY Date Night will post every two weeks.
